Innovance, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant - Cost Accounting to support manufacturing operations across its family of companies. This role will maintain standard costs, prepare cost and margin analyses, support month-end close, and reconcile inventory and work-in-process accounts. The Staff Accountant will partner with plant and engineering teams to analyze variances, track production and labor costs, and improve costing accuracy. Responsibilities include budgeting support, preparing management reports, assisting with audits, and helping strengthen internal controls in a collaborative, employee-owned culture focused on safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Maintain and update standard costs for products and manufacturing processes Prepare cost, margin, and variance analyses for management and plant teams Reconcile inventory, work-in-process, and cost of goods sold accounts Support month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing operations Prepare cost reports and dashboards for leadership decision-making Partner with operations and engineering to track production and labor costs Identify cost drivers and recommend process or cost improvements Support internal and external audits with accurate cost data Help strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance Required Skills Cost accounting Standard costing Inventory accounting Variance analysis Manufacturing ERP/MRP systems Financial reporting Budgeting and forecasting Advanced Excel GAAP knowledge Data reconciliation
