Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial management, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department. Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently to guarantee on-time payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements, addressing and resolving any discrepancies.
• Evaluate and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and support audit preparation efforts.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment-related concerns.
• Perform account reconciliations to uphold financial data accuracy.
• Prepare corporate tax returns and sales tax documentation as required.
• Utilize NetSuite and Microsoft Excel tools, including pivot tables, to manage accounting tasks effectively.
• Take on additional accounting duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable processes and vendor relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns and sales tax regulations.
• Proficiency in performing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
• Familiarity with accounting software, particularly NetSuite, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Ability to conduct account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience with check runs and managing employee expense reports.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining financial records.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
