Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for an organization based in Minnesota. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone with strong experience in general ledger activity, journal entries, and corporate tax processes. The role will contribute to accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and day-to-day accounting functions while working closely with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support corporate tax activities, including the preparation of tax-related schedules and documentation.
  • Assist with sales tax filings and help monitor compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of corporate tax returns by organizing financial data and supporting schedules.
  • Review accounting transactions for completeness, accuracy, and proper classification within the ledger.
  • Partner with finance and operational teams to gather information needed for month-end and tax reporting.
  • Help maintain organized accounting documentation to support audits and internal reviews.
