We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for an organization in Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position is suited for a versatile, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can manage daily financial activities while maintaining accuracy throughout the month-end close process. The role will contribute across general ledger accounting, reconciliations, receivables, payables, and system-based transaction processing using Excel, Esker, and SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Lead key month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and balances are properly supported.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies through detailed analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items to ensure cash activity is accurately recorded.
• Support accounts payable processing, including invoice review and coordination within Esker.
• Manage accounts receivable tasks such as payment application, account follow-up, and balance tracking.
• Use SAP and Microsoft Excel to analyze transactions, generate reports, and maintain accounting documentation.
• Assist with cross-functional accounting needs and provide coverage across multiple finance processes as business demands shift.
