Job Description
Senior Accountant Liberty Diversified International vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition assistance, 401(k), profit sharing 5600 U.S. 169 (Show on map) Sep 02, 2026 Description Our Senior Accountant is a key contributor in reviewing and analyzing both routine and complex accounting transactions, ensuring adherence to US GAAP, and delivering timely and accurate financial reporting. This role maintains the general ledger and ensures all subsidiary accounts are reconciled in alignment with LDI's accounting policies. The Senior Accountant partners closely with their team to support business objectives. This role identifies and recommends process improvements, resolves issues, leads cross-functional projects, and serves as a technical expert for accounting matters and systems enhancements. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This full-time position reports to Director Finance - Safco and is located in Hope, Minnesota.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure accurate and timely P&L and Balance Sheet accounting in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Maintain the general ledger, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
Perform month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data to support business decision-making.
Support annual audit and tax processes, including coordination with external auditors.
Prepare audit schedules, documentation, and address audit inquiries.
Monitor regulatory compliance and supporting annual audit and tax filing processes.
Serve as the finance business partner to Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Analyze variances, provide strategic direction, and resource allocation.
Assist department with creating and updating accounting process documentation.
Utilize tools such as Power BI and OneStream to support reporting needs.
Deliver ad hoc and recurring reporting requests.
Lead and support system enhancements and cross-functional projects.
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvements that values learning and commitment to quality.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
Applicants with fewer years of experience may be considered if they hold additional qualifications outlined under Preferred Education, Experience and Skills.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
Demonstrated experience in general ledgeraccounting, financial consolidation, technical accounting research, and audit procedures.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience or ability to quickly learn JD Edwards ERP, Encore, and OneStream systems.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Financial experience in manufacturing environment.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
Knowledge of internal controls and audit processes.
Experience in supporting system upgrades or enhancements.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting base salary range for this position is $88,226 - 110,282 per year. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
