Job Description

Great Lakes Management is currently seeking a full-time Property Accountant at our corporate office in Plymouth, MN. This position s responsibilities will include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, General Ledger, and financial statement preparation for multiple properties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, thrive in a task driven environment, and be highly self-motivated. You will play a pivotal role providing accurate and timely financial statements which deliver value to our clients while supporting site staff to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors we serve.

Pay Range:
•$57,000•$67,000 / year

Property Accountant Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable invoices and issue payments Assist site staff with outstanding vendor accounts and statements W-9 procurement, vendor setup, lien waiver collection, and preparation of 1099 s Cash management entries, positive pay submissions, and bank reconciliations Reconcile accounts receivable and support monthly billing Process general ledger adjusting entries and account reconciliations Produce monthly financial statements Prepare annual Certificates of Rent Paid for residential tenants Enter annual budgets
Property Accountant Qualifications:
2•or 4-year degree in accounting, finance or similar field 2-4 years of experience in accounting or related field Strong general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable knowledge Proficient computer skills, experience with Excel required (SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc ) Prior experience with RealPage, Eldermark, or property management experience a plus Demonstrate strong time-management skills with the ability to regularly shift priorities as needed to meet deadlines Strong communication and organizational skills for regular coordination with site and corporate staff
Working Hours:
8 hour days, typically 8-5 or 7-4 Flexible summer hours offered•four 10 hour days, four 9 hour days + half day No weekend hours Overtime allowed as needed to meet deadlines but not typically necessary
