Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Reviewer to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of tax-related documentation, reviewing complex tax returns, and supporting various tax reporting processes. Your expertise will help uphold regulatory standards and contribute to the seamless operation of our financial and tax functions. Duties Review and validate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including corporate and individual tax laws. Analyze financial data using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms to reconcile accounts and ensure precise double-entry bookkeeping. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to clarify complex tax issues related to estate planning or non-profit accounting. Participate in regulatory compliance accounting initiatives by interpreting new tax laws and implementing necessary adjustments within financial systems. Qualifications Proven experience in tax accounting, public accounting, or corporate finance with a strong focus on tax return preparation and compliance. Extensive knowledge of tax law, regulatory reporting requirements, and financial concepts such as debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis. Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, or similar tools; proficiency in financial report writing and interpretation is highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills to explain complex tax issues clearly and professionally. Demonstrated understanding of GAAP standards, regulatory compliance accounting practices including SOX controls, and technical accounting principles. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.
