 4+ months Job Summary Consolidation Accountant Job Description The Accountant is a member of the Global Consolidation Team reporting to the Accounting Manager I, Global Consolidation. This position is responsible for the preparation and support of various accounting, reporting, and analytical tasks related to the global consolidation process, with a focus on the Latin America and Asia Pacific (APLA) markets. The responsibilities for this role include ensuring financial results and supplemental data are accurately and timely reported and consolidated. This includes reviewing, promoting and understanding the financial results, responding to inquiries on a timely basis and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and related accounting regulations.

What You Will Do:

Review, monitor, and validate monthly and quarterly financial statements submitted by AP-LA international subsidiaries. Analyze and validate monthly, quarterly supplemental data submitted by AP-LA and other international subsidiaries. Proactively research and correspond with countries on submission issues/questions, support AP-LA Regions on accounting and reporting questions. Perform accounting activities and analysis of intercompany accounts, extraordinary items, and other accounting/consolidation tasks. Maintain and improve processes, procedures, and documentation. Develop/maintain collaborative and effective partnerships with country controllers, local accounting staff, and St. Paul corporate functions. Support and cross-train team members on department responsibilities. Assist with various projects as necessary.
