This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, processing transactions, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a small business environment where responsibilities may span multiple areas of accounting and operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Reconcile bank and credit card statements Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting Assist with customer facing invoicing Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records Support budgeting and financial reporting activities Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and tax requirements Assist external auditors during annual reviews or audits Monitor expenses and identify discrepancies or opportunities for improvement Maintain organized financial records and documentation Support administrative and operational tasks as needed in a small business setting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred 5+ years of accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks & Excel required Knowledge of purchasing software such as ProcureDesk Payroll processing knowledge preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills Experience in a small business or startup environment Knowledge of sales tax and payroll filings Experience with financial reporting and budgeting Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems Additional information:
