Job Summary As a Farm Accounting Officer Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn the primary responsibilities of a Farm Accounting Officer, develop and build on your customer service and retention skills and be a part of a supportive team. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with customers, teammates and support the local communities that you serve. Our interns work on projects that matter-and teams will rely on your skills and insights to help deliver those projects to market. You'll get the opportunity to work on real projects and have fun along the way. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Contribute to providing timely and accurate accounting and payroll services for farming operations and owners of farmland. Assist in the education of farm accounting customers on the importance of effective and accurate reporting. Learn more about accounting rules and maintaining deadlines. Collaborate with internal teams on the development of materials for external audiences. Coordinate the logistics of assigned customer education events. Travel Time Must be available to travel to Omaha, NE three times during the internship: for Orientation, Mid-Summer, and Closing events. Travel expenses will be covered. Education Requirements Currently pursuing a bachelors or master's degree in Education, Business, Accounting, Tax, Finance or other related degrees. Minimum of 3.0 GPA. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong desire to pursue a career involving adult education, program management, sales, marketing and territory management. Available for a 12-week internship during the summer. Intern Benefits Qualified interns will receive a competitive hourly wage and $500 sign-on bonus.
