Job Description

Missouri Ozarks Community Health is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will be based out of our Ava, MO location. This position is responsible for maintaining day-to-day accounting functions, performing month-end reconciliations, preparing monthly financial statements, and assisting with annual federal, state, and financial audit reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly financial statements Assist with annual financial audits and IRS Form 990 Prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports Perform monthly reconciliations and review general ledger details Post daily, monthly, and annual adjusting journal entries Manage fixed asset entries and depreciation calculations Monitor patient revenue cycle management (RCM) Create and enforce internal audit procedures Reconciling payroll accounts with the general ledger Handle financial grant reporting Provide data analysis, projections, and reporting for the
CFO Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university (required) 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience (required) Experience in healthcare accounting is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Familiarity with GAAP Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Must pass a drug/alcohol screening before employment can begin
