Job Description

Job Summary/Company :
Sparks Group in partnership with a manufacturing organization to find someone in fixed asset accounting to assist with capital asset reconciliation. In this role you will be responsible for supporting a specific portfolio and reconciling capital project expenditures into fixed assets. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of relative experience working with capital projects, fixed assets, accounting, procurement, or project controls as well as strong Excel skills, strong organizational skills and able to work across multiple functions. Responsibilities :
Review D365 capital project transactions, purchase orders, and invoices to reconcile project spend to individual assets and asset groups. Partner with project managers, engineers, facility SMEs, and external vendors (e.g., CRB) to gather technical documentation and resolve capitalization queries. Lead project closeout and asset capitalization activities, ensuring seamless coordination with Fixed Asset Accounting for proper system setup. Build and maintain comprehensive trackers to log identified assets, locations, supporting transactions, and pending action items. Track and report on capitalization status, open issues, and potential tax depreciation opportunities for key stakeholders.
Qualifications/Background Profile :
Experience working with capital projects, fixed assets, accounting, procurement, or project controls. Ability to interpret purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and vendor documentation. Proficiency in Excel with advanced functions Familiar with fixed asset accounting and capitalization processes. Experience with large ERP systems (D365 Finance & Operations, SAP, or Oracle, etc) is a plus Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated environments is a plus - This job is In-Person.
