Job Description:
Join Our Established Team as an Accountant at Tri-State Equipment! Looking for stability, growth, and a team environment where your versatility is valued? That's what you get at Tri-State Equipment . We're a successful, privately-owned company that has been innovating in the material handling, fabrication, and service industry for over 65 years! We're comprised of four growing divisions and are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Accountant with solid accounting experience who is ready to take on a diverse range of responsibilities and embrace new challenges. What You'll Be Doing As our Accountant, you'll be highly involved in a wide variety of tasks that keep our four divisions running smoothly. This role has core responsibilities, but we love flexibility and a willingness to pick up new duties along the way.
You will focus on:
Cost & Inventory:
Maintaining our standard cost systems, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate reporting of projects, inventory, and cost of goods sold.
Tax Compliance:
Managing the setup, reporting, and analysis for new and existing state tax requirements as we continue to grow.
Fixed Assets:
Tracking and reviewing all fixed asset records, recording depreciation, and managing asset vendor relationships.
Project Management & Analysis:
Handling project status milestone invoices and communicating with sales teams on completion, while also performing standard accounting duties and analysis.
Daily Management:
Reconciling credit card statements and providing backup support for AR/AP functions. Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent focus) with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience .
Technical Know-How:
Strong understanding and working knowledge of GAAP . Advanced reporting and Excel skills are a must.
Mindset:
Efficient, organized, and detail-oriented , with the ability to complete time-sensitive tasks effectively. We value an eager and adaptable team member who is comfortable owning diverse duties.
