Job Description
- Support accounting and reporting activities to ensure compliance with Corporate accounting policies, US
GAAP, SEC
reporting requirements, SOX/internal controls, and relevant accounting guidance.- Partner with GBSC, Finance/FP&A, and key stakeholders during month-end close to review Technology-related balances, reconciliations, journal entries, capital project documentation, audit requests, and other close deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness.
- Support assigned procure-to-pay, capital governance, and accounting operations activities, including intake completeness, opex versus capex analysis, prepaid and capitalization review, useful life support, placed-in-service validation, amortization/depreciation monitoring, disposals, and exception follow-up.
- Assist in analyzing Technology contracts transactions and programs, including internally developed software, cloud/SaaS implementation costs, hosting arrangements, software licensing, managed services, long-lived assets, impairment considerations, build versus buy decisions, acquisitions, and integrations; gather facts, document accounting considerations, and escalate complex judgments for Senior review.
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of financial results, proactively research and resolve financial inquiries, and support financial business cases, models, standard templates, ad hoc reporting, and special projects with a strong customer service focus.
- Participate in end-to-end process improvement efforts across the Technology spend lifecycle by identifying process gaps, improving documentation standards, strengthening monitoring controls, and using data analytics, AI, and automation to improve efficiency, quality of output, and insight into trends, exceptions, and potential control issues. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and current accounting concepts
- Demonstrate business acumen, with strong organization skills and strategic orientation
- High level of ownership, business acumen, and entrepreneurship
- Demonstrate experience in data analytics and using insights to drive impact
- Ability to follow up and follow through on time sensitive issues
- Desire to collaborate with the team and build working relationships across teams and all levels of management
- Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organization boundaries
- Previous experience in significant process improvements, with ability to prioritize and meet concurrent project deliverables
- Advanced MS Office skills (primarily Excel and PowerPoint) and working knowledge of enterprise financial systems (e.g. Oracle/Hyperion)
- Working knowledge of AI and automation to improve productivity, automate routine tasks, and support financial analysis.
