Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Role priorities include:
Learn cost rate development fundamentals, including labor, overhead, and allocation methodologies, through hands‑on participation and mentorship from senior team members. Assist in preparing rate calculations, supporting schedules, and variance analysis to understand how operational activity impacts financial results. Gain exposure to month‑end close processes by supporting reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting. Work with cross‑functional partners in manufacturing, operations, and finance to understand business drivers behind cost behavior. Develop strong data analysis skills by validating inputs, reviewing trends, and identifying potential data quality issues. Contribute to standardized reporting, templates, and documentation while learning internal control and audit requirements. Participate in continuous improvement (kaizen) initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency within cost accounting processes. Build proficiency in ERP systems and financial tools used to support cost accounting and rate analysis. Receive coaching and feedback to progressively take on more complex responsibilities and advance toward senior‑level roles. Perform additional duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in an Accounting / Finance or related field, or equivalent years of experience is required. 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis and month-end close responsibilities, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS CPA
recommended, but not required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
