About the
Role:
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to help keep the books accurate for 2-4 related companies. You'll handle reconciliations, some bill pay, and inventory tracking for both, and work directly with ownership and outside advisors (CPAs/tax preparers). Key Responsibilities  Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations, keeping each set of books separate and accurate  Enter and reconcile invoices in our accounting system  Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (3-way match)  Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve payment discrepancies  Assist with month-end closing tasks and accruals for each company  Track expenses and follow up on outstanding items  Understand and properly record any transactions between the two companies  Use QuickBooks Online and Excel for data entry, reconciliations, and reporting  Coordinate with company management, outside CPAs/tax preparers, and team members at both companies  Process and pay vendor invoices accurately and on time (bill pay)  Manage inventory tracking and reconciliation What We're Looking For  Comfortable managing the books for multiple companies  Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy  Comfortable working with numbers and catching small discrepancies  Proficiency using QuickBooks Online  Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas a plus)  Solid general office skills: scheduling, managing deadlines, creating/following checklists, clear communication (both written and verbal)  Ability to work well with people — you'll interact with company management, outside advisors, team members, and vendors at both companies  Comfortable working semi-independently and giving direction when needed (e.g., coordinating with staff, following up on approvals, correcting accounting processes)  Accounting degree preferred but not required — relevant experience is more important Nice-to-Haves  Previous accounting experience (2+ years), ideally across multiple entities or clients (public accounting background welcome)  Experience in powersports, home building, or real estate accounting What We Offer  Competitive hourly/salary pay based on experience  Variety — exposure to accounting for multiple different businesses, not just one  Supportive team environment  Opportunity to grow within the accounting/finance department  Formal pay/performance review at 90 days, with opportunity for a raise  Health insurance offered after initial probationary period If you're organized, dependable, good with details, and enjoy keeping things on track, we'd love to hear from you!
