Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. At Woodard, we believe strong financial processes are essential to supporting the work we do every day. We're looking for an Accountant focused on Accounts Payable who enjoys detailed work, values accuracy, and takes pride in keeping financial records organized and up to date. This role will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and payments, maintaining vendor accounts, supporting month-end activities, and helping ensure the integrity of our financial data. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working with established processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You'll work closely with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, ensure timely processing, and support efficient financial operations across the organization.
What You'll Do:
Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely Prepare and process vendor payments while maintaining internal controls Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues Respond to vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies Maintain vendor tax documentation and assist with annual 1099 reporting Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Assist with audits by preparing and providing supporting documentation Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Partner with internal departments to ensure timely approvals and accurate financial records Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
