In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial health. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial data and contribute to strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify the integrity of financial data across various accounts. Assist with tax preparation activities and ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards and regulations. Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite and Rent Manager. Participate in internal audits to uphold internal controls and safeguard assets. Perform data entry tasks with precision using 10 key typing skills while managing multiple financial software platforms. Contribute to budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and supporting cost control initiatives. Support special projects related to financial initiatives as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting principles. Proficiency with a variety of accounting software including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Rent Manger, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Workday, UltiPro, Kronos, ADP, Paychex, and other financial management tools. Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger accounting. Strong analytical skills for account analysis and credit assessment. Experience in public accounting or working within a corporate or governmental setting is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.
