Job Description
Accountant Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, account reconciliations, income auditing, revenue review, journal entries, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to research and resolve discrepancies in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. Perform general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations. Reconcile accounts payable activity and research discrepancies. Perform income audit functions and review daily revenue activity for accuracy and completeness. Audit revenue transactions and supporting documentation. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed. Assist with financial reporting and preparation of supporting schedules. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reconciliations. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies. Assist with accounting projects and process improvements as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Previous accounting, general ledger, or income audit experience. Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
