Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the organization's financial health. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with multiple financial software platforms, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. Duties Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards. Perform account reconciliations for the general ledger, balance sheet, and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis. Support internal controls compliance, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements, through documentation and process reviews. Utilize various accounting software systems such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, and Paychex for data entry and reporting. Conduct data analysis using Excel spreadsheets for financial reporting, audit support, and process improvements. Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Assist in payroll processing using systems like ADP or UltiPro while ensuring accuracy in payroll management. Support governmental accounting requirements for non-profit or public sector entities as needed. Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 1-3 years of accounting experience in manufacturing
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
