Description Billings School District 2 is seeking an Accountant III for the Lincoln Center Business Office. Schedule 12 Month position; Monday - Friday; 8 hours a day; 730 a.m. - 430 p.m. Wage $20.74 per hour for 90 work-day probationary period; then $23.04 per hour. Benefits Fully Paid Insurance; PERS Retirement; Vacation/Sick Days. Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following Processing paid invoices and accounts payable payments. Process and maintain vendors. Process and maintain purchase orders. ing accounts payable checks and reports. Preparing and entering journals to move budgets, transfer expenditures and revenues, and void warrants. Recording Accts Receivable and cash receipts and reporting to County Treasurer. Setting up balance sheets, expenditure and revenue codes and budgets. Setting up general ledger information for Bi-Techputer system. Reconciling accounts. Preparing and entering journals. Get lists of gift recipients to attach to the copy of the warrant. Get lists of group attendees to attach to the copy of the warrant. Get lists of student incentives recipients to attach to the copy of the warrant. Run reports and prepare spreadsheets used toplete quarterly report. Maintaining lists of cell phones and preparing a journal to charge schools or departments for their use. Running budget check registers. Fixed assets -- maintain list of machinery and equipment that agrees with the general ledger. Going through detail transaction reports, corresponding with administrators and correcting transaction errors. Prepare various worksheets for the audit. Collect enrollment data from schools to submit semi-annual reports to OPI. Maintaining lists of records to be retained or disposed of. Preparing notices of records to be destroyed. Qualifications High school diploma and college accounting coursework; Minimum of two years' accounting experience; and/or Abination of education and experience.
