$95,000-$160,000 per year, DOE Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant/CPA for a full-time opportunity with an established professional accounting firm in Helena, Montana. This position is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys complex tax work, year-round tax planning, direct client relationships, and working as part of a collaborative team. Compensation is highly dependent on experience and qualifications, with flexibility for the right candidate. What You'll Do Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns Manage multistate tax compliance engagements Research complex tax issues and provide practical, client-focused solutions Partner with clients on tax planning opportunities throughout the year Respond to tax notices and assist with audit support Mentor developing tax professionals and contribute to team success Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication and service What You Bring Active Montana CPA license Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 3+ years of complex tax experience Strong knowledge of federal and multistate taxation Excellent communication, organization, and client-service skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Benefits include: 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with Safe Harbor Match Employer-paid Group Term Life and AD&D Insurance Generous flexible time off and paid holidays Continuing education and professional licensing support Collaborative, team-oriented work environment Direct client relationships within a smaller firm setting Year-round tax planning focus, not just seasonal compliance Why Join?
