Position Description You will serve as a
ACCOUNTANT
in the
FINANCIAL IMPROVEMENT & AUDIT REMEDIATION DEPT
of
NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Position Duties/Responsibilities You will provide subject matter expertise to support NAVAIR efforts to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting. You will provide input for the development of testing schedules/strategies, manage testing process, provide any training/guidance necessary, and assess the testing documentation and results to determine if remediation is required. You will responsible for review and analysis of relevant guidance/policies, and proposed changes, to ensure NAVAIR compliance with business and financial accounting standards and policies, and alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. You will responsible for collection and analysis of Navy ERP data, principally residing in the SAP Finance, Funds Management, Materials Management, Asset Management, and Document Management System (DMS). You will be responsible for development and presentation of metrics to track progress of assigned duties and responsibilities and will identify areas for process improvement and/or training.
