Job Description

TCK (Twin City Knitting) is an American manufacturer born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina. Founded in 1961, TCK began knitting performance athletic socks and quickly established itself as the industry leader for on-field team socks. We have outfitted athletes' feet for generations and have built an unrivaled brand loyalty with our customers. Join our dynamic finance team as a Staff Accountant and play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work across various accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting. Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance:
Recording daily financial transactions, managing journal entries, and ensuring accuracy in financial databases Maintain records for fixed assets and various General Ledger accounts Maintain file for 1099 reporting Prepare monthly commission reports Maintain prepaid and accrued expense accounts
Month-End Close:
Assisting in closing books, interfund transfers, and reconciling accounts.
Reconciliations:
Balancing bank statements for 4 accounts, credit card statements, and various balance sheet accounts.
Financial Reporting:
Preparing, analyzing, and distributing monthly financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) for management Calculate and pays monthly/quarterly sales and use tax
Accounts Payable/Receivable Support:
Processing invoices, managing payments, and tracking incoming funds to maintain cash flow
Compliance and Audits:
Ensuring adherence to GAAP and tax regulations and providing documentation for internal/external audits. Other duties as needed
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred; Associate degree accepted Previous experience as a Staff Accountant with two or more years preferred Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is critical Manufacturing experience a plus Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and ability to multi-task Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit approximately 75% of the time, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to balance, stoop, and bend. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is located in an office environment but will be regularly exposed to work near and on the production floor. The employee may occasionally be required to work in our manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
