Back To Results Staff Accountant Job Description Staff Accountant - Denver, Colorado The Staff Accountant provides support to the Controller and Assistant Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting & Finance Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Daily cash reporting and posting Posting of journal entries to general ledger Preparation of weekly dashboards as needed Preparation and maintenance of various schedules including fixed asset schedule, prepaid schedules, lease schedules, straight line rent schedules Assist with month-end close process Bank reconciliations Support A/P activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry Assist in implementation of business process improvements Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data Must have excellent work habits, strong work ethic, and ability to balance workload with competing priorities Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required Knowledge of US GAAP required 0 - 3 years of progressively responsible experience in industry or at accounting firm preferable but will also consider recent graduates with strong academic performance from a reputable college or university.
