Senior Tax Accountant About the Firm McCannon, Rogers, Driscoll & Associates LLP is a public accounting firm based in Gastonia, NC. We specialize in accounting, taxation, attestation, and advisory services for businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations. As a growing firm, we are committed to delivering high-quality client service while fostering professional development and a collaborative team environment. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated accounting professional with experience in income tax preparation and client accounting services. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base and contribute to both tax compliance and advisory services. Key Responsibilities Assist with client year-end close processes. Communicate with clients to gather information and address inquiries. Prepare federal and state business income tax returns. Understand and apply nexus rules and prepare multi-state tax returns. Prepare consolidated income tax returns. Prepare federal and state tax projections and assist with tax planning for closely held businesses and their owners. Conduct tax research and prepare client presentations of findings.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting (or a related field). Four or more years of experience in accounting and taxation. Public accounting experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with engagement leadership. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax concepts. Basic understanding of GAAP reporting standards.
Preferred:
Experience with Thomson Reuters products, including Accounting CS and UltraTax. Experience with QuickBooks. CPA license. Additional Information Comprehensive benefits package. $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
