Accounting Intern Want real accounting experience, not just a job? Cogent Analytics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support our Accounting department. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with accounting operations, financial documentation, data entry, reconciliations, and other day-to-day accounting activities in a dynamic business environment. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, analytical, and eager to learn. This internship is a great opportunity for a student pursuing Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field to gain practical experience and develop skills that will translate directly into a professional accounting career. Responsibilities Keep things running smoothly with admin support (emails, data entry, calls, coordination) Respond to client, partner, and prospect messages and inquiries with professionalism and personality Support special projects and ideas—we're always building something new Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; rising juniors and seniors preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal. Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial terminology. Ability to assist with accounting data entry, recordkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and other administrative accounting tasks. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus, but not required. Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with financial and business information. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to ask questions and learn. Authorized to work in the United States and located in Greensboro, NC. Must be able to work 20 hours per week, with occasional flexibility based on department needs.
