Position Summary The Staff Accountant will support the company's day-to-day accounting functions and help maintain accurate and timely financial records. This position will work closely with the Controller and other departments on general accounting activities, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities Prepare and record journal entries and maintain related supporting documentation. Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities. Maintain general ledger accounts and verify the accuracy of financial transactions. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts. Assist with fixed asset records, depreciation, and inventory reconciliations. Prepare routine financial reports and assist with financial analysis. Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities. Gather financial records and documentation for internal and external audits. Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and applicable requirements. Assist with improving accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls. Provide additional accounting support and assistance with special projects as needed. QualificationsEducation & Experience Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience is a plus. is preferred . Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Skills & Knowledge Understanding of accounting principles and GAAP. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines. Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday. Regular use of a computer and other standard office equipment. Ability to read and work with printed and electronic documents. Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasional travel may be required.
