Job Description

Position Summary Senior Accountant role with extensive hands-on knowledge of Infor SyteLine to support accounting data cleanup, subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliation, and process improvement initiatives. The immediate priority for this role will be identifying and resolving historical discrepancies within the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable subledgers. Currently, the AP and AR aging reports do not reconcile to the corresponding general ledger balances. This individual will investigate the underlying causes, correct historical issues where appropriate, and establish sustainable reconciliation processes and controls. The candidate will also help improve and automate the AP process across Infor SyteLine, our banking platforms, and related systems. Hands-on position requiring strong accounting knowledge, advanced SyteLine experience, and the ability to work through detailed transactional data. Key Job Responsibilities Perform detailed reconciliations of the AP and AR aging reports to their respective general ledger control accounts. Identify the causes of historical discrepancies, including unsupported journal entries, incorrect postings, duplicate transactions, unapplied cash, unmatched invoices, open vouchers, and timing differences. Research and resolve aged or invalid AP and AR balances. Review vendor and customer records for duplicate, inactive, or incorrectly configured accounts. Prepare and document correcting journal entries and subledger adjustments. Support the cleanup of general ledger accounts and historical transactions. Ensure corrections preserve the appropriate transaction history and audit trail. Create repeatable monthly reconciliation processes to prevent future subledger-to-general-ledger discrepancies. Review project accounting and project/WIP balances, reconcile project costs to the GL, identify completed or inactive projects with residual balances, and ensure costs are appropriately classified. Support the accounting for equipment/systems manufactured internally and subsequently converted from inventory or project WIP to fixed assets, ensuring material, labor and applicable overhead are properly transferred and depreciation begins when the asset is placed in service. Reconcile fixed assets and accumulated depreciation to the GL, including additions, transfers, disposals and depreciation. Review intercompany inventory, equipment and project transactions, including balances between entities, and assist with identifying and correcting out-of-balance positions. Key Competencies & Skills Advanced knowledge of Infor SyteLine Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex subledgers to the general ledger Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, accruals, etc. Ability to analyze large volumes of transactional data Ability to identify weaknesses in existing accounting processers and implement sustainable reconciliations, controls and more efficient workflows. Comfortable working with limited oversight Education and Experience Requirements Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant hands-on general ledger and reconciliation experience 3+ years of hands-on Infor SyteLine experience strongly preferred
Working Conditions:
Work is performed inside a flex space building consisting of offices, open desk space, laboratory, machine shop, and a manufacturing floor. Level of noise is usually quiet in the office environment and temperature controlled. Noise levels are elevated in the warehouse space where temperatures can vary depending on the outside elements and weather. Travel may be required, including up to 2-8 trips per year to visit suppliers, attend conferences, meetings (customer, investor, and business) and customer sites (hatcheries).
