Job Description

About the Role The Junior Accountant supports the financial operations of Elite Truck by assisting with day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing administrative support for customer accounts. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, consistency, and alignment across departments. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position works closely with the Staff Accountant and cross-functional teams including Customer Support, Sales, and Operations. The role has visibility into financial processes, customer account activity, and overall business performance within a fast-paced, scaling e-commerce environment. Success in this role is defined by accuracy, consistency, responsiveness, and the ability to support core accounting functions while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration and ownership of responsibilities.
What You'll Do Customer Accounts & Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate customer account records Assist with account setup, updates, and maintenance Support billing inquiries and issue resolution Coordinate with Customer Support and Sales on account-related matters
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Assist with invoice entry and payment tracking Support accounts receivable and customer account management Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
Financial Recordkeeping & Reconciliation:
Perform data entry and maintain financial documentation Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations Support general ledger accuracy and transaction classification
Month-End Close & Reporting:
Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations Support month-end close processes Help prepare financial reports and internal schedules
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement:
Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Support to resolve discrepancies Support onboarding of business accounts with the Business Accounts Manager Assist in expense tracking and budget alignment Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting workflows Support audit preparation and documentation requests You'll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial processes align with operational execution and support overall business performance.
What We're Looking For Required:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress) 0-2 years of accounting experience or relevant internship experience Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Preferred:
Experience in e-commerce or a scaling organization Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Experience with ERP systems and financial tools Proficiency in Google Suite and Excel Key Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement Self-starter with high ownership and accountability Working at Elite Truck We offer a competitive and evolving compensation and benefits structure designed to support both professional growth and personal well-being.
