Plant Accountant Confidential Bedford, NH Job Details Full-time $72,000 - $85,000 a year 2 days ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Spreadsheets Manufacturing facility Bachelor's degree Payroll Cash management Bachelor's degree in accounting Factory experience Full Job Description Plant Accountant - Our team seeks a bright, organized and professional Plant Accountant to join their team on site in Bedford, New Hampshire. The Plant Accountant is responsible for preparing a wide variety of reports on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis to support the finance team in providing accurate financial information. This position reports to the Finance Director. Primary responsibilities of the Plant Accountant will include:
  • Prepare cash reports
  • Prepare wires working with AP
  • Update daily cash report with budget comparison
  • Ad-hoc account, customer, and product analysis and reporting
  • Cycle counting process working with warehouse personnel
  • Fixed asset project tracking
  • Account reconciliations and expense tracking
  • Balance sheet and expense accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform standard month-end account reconciliations
  • Calculate and prepare Borrowing Base and Debt Covenant reporting
  • Review and update Bill of Material
  • Pursue and update ongoing Bill of Material updates
  • Assist in preparation for annual budget and physical inventory
  • Work with ERP system
  • Assist Payroll and Accounts Payable as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, required
  • Experience working in accounting department in manufacturing plant, preferred
  • Experience working in accounting department of small company, preferred
  • Cost Accounting experience, a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, required
  • ERP or accounting software experience, a plus
  • Strong communication skills
