Staff Accountant The Nash Casino - 1.0 Nashua, NH Job Details $60,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Computer literacy Employee relationship building Full Job Description Essential Job Responsibilities Assist the Assistant Controller and Finance team with the monthly financial close process, including journal entry preparation and account/bank reconciliations. Enter Cage deposits, miscellaneous checks/deposits, bank transfers, tax payments, and similar transactions into the Sage accounting system weekly. Reconcile Kiosk and ATM cash activity daily. Maintain an organized and accurate accounting documentation system. Assist in the preparation of tax filings and regulatory financial submissions. Prepare or support annual licensing and statutory reporting (e.g., alcohol licenses, business licenses, unclaimed property filings). Participate in special projects, analyses, and finance‑related initiatives as assigned. Provide BIG Service by communicating clearly, professionally, and enthusiastically with internal stakeholders. Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with managers, supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and internal partners. Notify Finance leadership promptly of any irregularities, discrepancies, or unusual situations encountered during accounting processes. Demonstrate reliability, accuracy, strong attention to detail, and integrity in all accounting functions. Maintain compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company requirements for working in the gaming industry. Assist in mentoring or training new Finance Team Members when requested. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must pass all required pre‑screening and background checks. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.
