Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing financial records, including general ledger and journal entries, and account reconciliation. Maintains supporting documentation, and assists Divisional and Corporate controllers with projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare, review and process journal entries as required to accurately reflect financial activities for a given period. Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP accounting principles

Process Accounts Payable/Intercompany invoices and documentation, issuing timely payment

Confirmation of outstanding AR & AP from sister companies

Compare invoices against purchase orders and investigate as needed

Prepare financial schedules and variance analysis

Complete Account Reconciliations

Complete J-Sox testing for sister companies

Prepare supporting financial schedules

Support Divisional and Corporate Finance goals, completing projects as assigned

Assist in special projects as assigned

Job Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrated understanding of industry best practices and regulations within the accounting field

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Ability to prepare, process, and maintain complex records and reports

Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions

Ability to drive teamwork and work well with all levels of employees

Demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail

Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.

Physical Requirements:

Requires long periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer

May include: standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.

Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
