One Sky Community Services has been a trusted nonprofit partner for 38 years, supporting 1,200 individuals and families with intellectual, developmental, and acquired brain injuries across the Seacoast region. We are looking for an intrinsically motivated, detail-oriented, and innovative accountant to join our finance team and help us continue providing high-quality services to our community. What You'll Do Working closely with the Finance Team and Payroll Administrator, you will: Manage the full general ledger and ensure monthly reconciliations and balanced financial statements Prepare monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports Review and approve all bank, credit card, and investment reconciliations Monitor and maintain fixed assets Handle full-cycle bookkeeping: process transactions, manage accounts payable & receivable, and import data into accounting software Prepare compliance reports including sales tax refunds/remittances and annual 1099s Provide helpful accounting support to individuals, families, and vendors with patience and professionalism Identify issues, generate reports, and continuously improve internal policies and procedures Collaborate with a supportive team in a mission-driven environment What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills A positive, service-oriented mindset and ability to build good working relationships What We Offer Competitive compensation based on education, experience, and any relevant licensure Excellent benefits package Meaningful work that makes a real difference in people's lives Supportive, kind, and collaborative team culture Opportunity for growth in a stable, mission-driven organization If you are looking for a role where your work is valued, your ideas matter, and you can be part of a team that truly cares, we would love to hear from you!
