Senior Accountant Direct Hire Onsite-Seabrook, NH Must Haves:
- 4+ years relevant experience: Either GL/operational accounting experience from the financial services/investment industry or an investment accounting background

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own accounting and reporting for investment and other entities. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance. Responsibilities include accounting, financial and investment performance reporting, cash forecasting, and recommendations for efficient operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounting : Own the close process including maintenance of the G/L, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions/eliminations for multiple entities specific to our investment structure. Ensure accuracy of financial, budgetary, and operating records.
- Reporting : Preparation of reports including earnings, profits/losses, return on investment and other performance metrics, compare performance to relevant investment benchmarks, and monitoring of cash balances/flow. Review records of present and past operations, trends, budgets and costs. Interpret accounts and records for review with management.
- Cash Forecasting : Collaborate with the Investment Director to forecast cash needs and availability. Coordinate this forecast with operating entities to ensure sufficient funding. Analyze and report on variances as applicable.
- Business Partnering : Collaborate with management including the Owner and CFO on matters such as effective use of resources, methods to free capital, and improvements to plans, processes, policies, and internal controls.
- KYC (know your client)
Compliance :
Collaborate with the Investment Director to provide information to third party investment managers to satisfy KYC compliance requirements.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Qualifications Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
- 4-6 years of relevant, progressive accounting experience
- Multi-entity and investment accounting experience are a plus
- CPA not required but is a plus; strong technical accounting foundation is expected Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrably capable with Excel and accounting software suites. Experience with Sage Intacct and Private Wealth Systems or comparable investment management / reporting software is s a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially related to investment transactions
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with a process-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills up and down the organization
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, and meet reporting deadlines
