full-time Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Forensic Accounting to join a growing professional services team supporting complex financial, construction, litigation, insurance, and dispute-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction accounting or construction auditing , combined with the ability to analyze financial information, identify issues, develop conclusions, and communicate findings clearly to attorneys, clients, and other professionals. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who can apply accounting expertise to complex and often highly detailed matters rather than working solely in a traditional corporate accounting environment. Responsibilities Analyze financial and accounting information in connection with litigation, disputes, claims, insurance, and other complex matters . Apply extensive construction accounting and/or construction auditing knowledge to evaluate project financial information. Analyze construction costs, job costing, budgets, contracts, change orders, work-in-progress, project profitability, and related financial records. Investigate and quantify financial damages, losses, and other economic impacts when applicable. Review financial records, contracts, supporting documentation, and other relevant information to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues. Develop detailed financial analyses and prepare clear, well-supported written reports and workpapers. Work closely with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to understand the issues involved in an engagement. Assist with matters involving construction claims, business disputes, insurance-related losses, fraud/fidelity issues, and other financial investigations. Manage multiple engagements and workstreams while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy. Lead and mentor junior and mid-level professionals. Communicate complex accounting and financial concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences. Participate in client meetings and, when required, assist with deposition, mediation, arbitration, or trial-related matters. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in construction accounting and/or construction auditing. Strong understanding of construction financials, including job costing, WIP, project budgets, contracts, change orders, subcontractors, project profitability, and cost analysis . Previous experience with forensic accounting, litigation support, construction claims, damages analysis, insurance claims, fraud/fidelity matters, or related consulting work is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CFE, CFF, or other relevant professional designation is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce clear, professional, and defensible financial analyses and reports. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting/financial systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
