full-time Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls across multiple real estate entities. This position will work closely with senior management and the accounting team and will be responsible for both high-level financial oversight and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong real estate accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience with Sage 300 CRE . Experience working within a multi-entity environment is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple entities. Maintain and analyze general ledgers and financial statements. Perform and oversee bank account and escrow reconciliations across multiple accounts. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash management. Oversee payroll processing and related accounting functions. Handle tenant billing and lease-related accounting . Perform construction cost accounting and track project-related expenses. Monitor escrow accounts and ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation. Assist with real estate transactions and multi-entity accounting. Maintain internal controls and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Support governmental and regulatory compliance requirements. Collaborate with senior management and the accounting team on financial strategy and reporting. Identify discrepancies and implement solutions to improve accounting processes, controls, and accuracy. Must-Have Qualifications 5-10 years of accounting or Controller-level experience. Hands-on Sage 300 CRE experience - this is the primary requirement. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills , including: Pivot Tables VLOOKUPs Data analysis and reporting Complex spreadsheets Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting . Experience with bank reconciliations and multiple banking accounts . Ability to manage accounting functions across multiple entities. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Real estate accounting experience strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with real estate development and/or property management accounting . Construction accounting experience. Experience with tenant billing, leases, and escrow accounts. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus, but not required. Ideal Candidate
