Position Type:
Full-Time Position Summary Traffic Plan is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Department. This position will support key accounting functions, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate has strong general accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with the accounting team and other departments. Responsibilities Oversee employee expense reimbursements and Travel and Entertainment expense management. Lead the implementation of new Travel and Entertainment software. Serve as backup for preparing daily cash summaries and communicating cash positions to management. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies. Support multi-entity accounting activities, including intercompany billing and reconciliations. Prepare and process journal entries. Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately. Research accounting issues and support compliance with GAAP. Assist with audit preparation and coordinate documentation for external auditors. Review expenses and financial transactions as assigned. Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed. Prepare financial reports and assist with special accounting projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Three to five years of relevant accounting experience. Strong understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles. Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and nested formulas. Experience with ERP systems and accounting software. Strong organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience Multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions. Expense-management software implementation. External audit support. Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
