Microsoft Teams Description:
The Credit & Collections Representative is responsible for the maintenance and administration of credit limits, payment terms, and the collection of delinquent accounts receivable for an assigned portfolio of accounts.
Must haves:
Candidates must have large corporation collection exp. Candidates must have large corporation credit exp.
Key Responsibilities:
Review orders on credit hold and determine whether to release the order or keep it on hold pending resolution of the customer's account. Collect monies owed from delinquent accounts within an assigned portfolio and provide guidance to Sales Consultants regarding collection efforts. Identify potential bad debt accounts and attempt collection; escalate cases to management for further action or guidance as necessary. Respond to customer statement inquiries, answer correspondence and phone requests from customers and Sales Consultants, and solicit information from Sales regarding returned mail. Assist in reconciling customer accounts as needed to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Review customer credit limits upon request, with authority to increase limits up to a maximum of $25,000. Recommend and prepare files for outsourcing to collection agencies when all internal collection efforts have been exhausted. Coordinate with internal departments, such as Sales and Customer Service, to obtain necessary information to resolve payment disputes and address customer inquiries regarding outstanding balances. Assist with payment portal setups and e-delivery requests as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 3-5 years of related Credit & Collections experience. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with strong interpersonal and professional interactive abilities. Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management, and inter-department staff. Proven capability to work proactively and constructively with internal staff from other departments. Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Customer Service Orientation
