Type:
full-time This full-time position plays an important role in supporting the financial health and day-to-day accounting operations of our nonprofit community development organization. The Senior Accountant will work closely with our Director of Finance, program and development teams, funders, external accountants, and organizational leadership.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Government, federal, and nonprofit grant accounting
- Philanthropic and donor-funded accounting
- General ledger and monthly financial close
- Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial reporting and budget-to-actual analysis
- Grant compliance and reporting
- Audit preparation and regulatory filings
- Accounts payable and receivable support What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with grant/fund accounting and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Salary:
$70,000-$90,000 annually
