Type:

full-time A growing distributor is seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will primarily support general ledger management, account reconciliations, month-end close, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment, with a solid understanding of GAAP and strong attention to detail. Responsibilities Manage and maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries and accruals. Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations. Assist with the monthly accounting close process and financial reporting. Process and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing activities. Analyze inventory, fixed assets, account balances, and financial variances. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciliation issues. Develop, update, and document standard operating procedures (SOPs). Partner with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information. Support other accounting projects and responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 1-2 years of accounting experience; manufacturing or distribution experience preferred. Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Strong understanding of GAAP and basic financial reporting principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
