Role:
The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA (or actively working towards CPA license) with a strong understanding of all phases of the audit process and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This role involves leading financial statement engagements, analyzing financial statements, training and supervising associates and providing valuable insights to clients across various industries. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Lead audit engagements from planning through completion. Lead compilation, review, and preparation engagements through completion. Supervise and mentor associates, providing guidance and review of work. Perform risk assessments and develop audit programs tailored to client needs. Analyze and interpret financial statements and supporting documentation. Research complex accounting issues and provide well-supported conclusions. Ensure compliance with
GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS
, and firm processes and policies. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service. Collaborate with the resource manager to ensure scheduling of engagements is done and on track. Prepare budgets for assurance engagements. ________________________________________
Requirements:
CPA license or working towards CPA exam with sections passed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit. Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAGAS and GAAS, particularly nonprofit and Yellow Book. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively. ________________________________________
Preferred Skills:
Experience with a variety of industries including manufacturing, nonprofit (including Yellow Book), charter schools, construction, and professional services. Familiarity with tax provisions and financial reporting disclosures. Working knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus. ________________________________________
