Job Description

Job Summary Role Objective The Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day execution of financial tasks, ensuring the integrity of financial data through accurate record-keeping, account reconciliations, and support of the monthly close process. This role provides essential support to the finance department by maintaining the general ledger and assisting with financial reporting.
Core Responsibilities Journal Entries & Ledger Maintenance :
Prepare and post daily and monthly journal entries; maintain and update the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are captured accurately.
Account Reconciliations :
Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support :
Monitor and process vendor invoices and customer payments; ensure aging reports are accurate and follow up on outstanding balances.
Month-End Close Support :
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process by preparing schedules, accruals, and supporting documentation for financial statements.
Fixed Asset Tracking :
Maintain the fixed asset register, including recording additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation.
Regulatory Filings :
Assist in the preparation of local and state, and federal tax returns and gather documentation for annual internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications Education :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience :
2-4 years of professional accounting experience.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level: formulas, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software such as Sage, Yardi or a similar ERP. Attention to
Detail :
High level of accuracy in data entry and a strong ability to spot inconsistencies in financial records.
Communication :
Ability to clearly explain financial information to team members and interact professionally with vendors and clients.
Pay:
$54,746.81 - $80,000.00 per year
