In this role, you will take ownership of key accounting functions, support financial reporting across lines of business, and serve as a trusted partner to business leadership. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are passionate about driving process improvement, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end close process for assigned lines of business, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP Prepare and analyze key financial metrics and revenue trends Present monthly financial analysis to business leadership and collaborate on forward-looking expectations Review and interpret insurance carrier data, including contracts, commissions, and policy activity Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial reporting Partner with accounting team members to support consolidated company financial reporting Develop, document, and enhance monthly close procedures Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows, policies, and internal controls Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation to external auditors Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Contribute positively to a collaborative and fast-paced team environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Experience with NetSuite is a plus CPA certification is a plus
