Job Description:
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Philadelphia suburbs, is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to join its team. What You'll Do Core Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare and post journal entries across multiple areas of the business. Perform account reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger maintenance. Assist with the monthly close process and preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports. Support monthly consolidation activities and analyze financial results across the organization. Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions. Maintain supporting schedules and other documentation used for financial reporting. Analysis & Business Improvement Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and potential revenue enhancements. Prepare sales and management reporting to support leadership decision-making. Investigate variances and unusual account activity and communicate findings to the finance team. Work with departments throughout the organization to improve processes and strengthen financial visibility. Assist with integrating and reconciling financial data from other systems. Audit, Controls & Special Projects Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and requested documentation. Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Participate in special projects and provide analytical support to senior finance leadership. Assist with activities such as annual insurance renewals and other corporate finance initiatives. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of relevant accounting experience. Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, consolidations, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large sets of financial data. SAP experience is preferred.
