About the
Role:
Step into the dynamic world of finance at Mandelbaum Barrett! We're seeking an exceptional Accounting Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience, the chance to strengthen our financial operations, and the opportunity to contribute to our success story.
Start Date:
June 1, 2026 This in-person role offers a flexible Monday-Friday schedule of approximately 16-24 hours per week between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. We're happy to accommodate class schedules or other commitments.
Responsibilities:
Perform bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate financial records, including substantial data entry. Manage and update data on financial statements. Support the Accounts Payable Team with daily operations and projects. Research outstanding checks. Review and process invoices submitted via SurePoint. Prepare account and bank reconciliations. Record financial transactions accurately. Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in college, majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, comfortable with technology, and quick learner of new software and applications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, manage workflow efficiently, and maintain accuracy. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. Self-starter with a hands-on, action-oriented approach who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers an hourly rate of $18.00 to $20.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Part-time employees are eligible for PTO, sick leave, holiday pay, bereavement leave, 401(k), and Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The posted salary range reflects the base pay for this position.
