Ledgewood, New Jersey See More See Less Job Description We are seeking a detailoriented Junior Accountant to support the financial operations of our multilocation liquor store business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fastpaced retail environment, has good analytical skills, wants handson experience in retail accounting and is eager to grow within the retail accounting field. Key Responsibilities Daily bookkeeping — reconcile POS reports, and record weekly sales to the General Ledger system Support store level ops by maintaining new items, price change and specialty ads in the WinePos system Support Month End Close by preparing reconciliations and schedules Inventory accounting — Assist with inventory analysis, shrink analysis, and cost tracking Accounts receivable — Monitor outstanding returned checks balances Bank reconciliations — Support monthly reconciliation of bank, credit card, and merchant accounts Participate in Process Improvements to help streamline workflows Support the senior accounting team with special projects as needed Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to meet deadlines with high level of attention to detail and accuracy Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills and willingness to learn industryspecific compliance Experience in retail, grocery, or liquor/beverage industry is a plus but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Training in liquorindustryspecific accounting and compliance Supportive team environment
