Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a contract opportunity in Secaucus, New Jersey. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented finance specialist who can manage close activities, maintain accurate records, and deliver timely reporting in a retail environment. The position will play a key part in ensuring the integrity of financial data while partnering with internal stakeholders on reconciliations, budgeting support, and audit-related needs.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accuracy of financial records by maintaining ledger activity, supporting reporting, and keeping accounting documentation current.
• Prepare journal entries, evaluate account activity, and complete reconciliations to support an efficient month-end close cycle.
• Perform detailed balance sheet and bank account reviews each month to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Assist with budgeting efforts and financial forecasting by compiling data, analyzing trends, and supporting performance planning activities.
• Deliver accounting outputs within established deadlines while ensuring reports are complete, organized, and reliable.
• Respond to requests for financial information, help review statements, and provide documentation needed during audit activities.
• Maintain adherence to company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial compliance standards.
• Provide day-to-day accounting support to analysts and other finance team members as business needs require.
