Full-Time About the Opportunity SNI Companies is partnering with a growing organization in North Jersey seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper . This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities across accounting functions. Position Overview This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting overall accounting operations. Responsibilities include cash reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, inventory accounting, and reporting. This position works closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Cash & Account Reconciliations Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations across multiple accounts Monitor cash balances and support cash flow tracking Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Accounts Receivable & Payable Process AR/AP transactions, including cash applications and reconciliations Review and code vendor invoices for accuracy Maintain vendor records and assist with payment processing Support collections efforts and apply incoming payments Inventory & Cost Accounting Record and reconcile inventory activity, transfers, and adjustments Partner with operations and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy of inventory records Reporting & Communication Prepare and distribute daily sales reports to leadership Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations and supporting schedules Communicate effectively with the Controller and team regarding financial updates Audit & General Support Assist with audit preparation by providing documentation and schedules Support ad hoc projects, process improvements, and system updates Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and team collaboration Why Join Collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunity for growth within a stable and expanding organization Hands-on exposure to multiple areas of accounting Work closely with experienced leadership If you're a motivated accounting professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply.
