The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the accounting department and providing support for data entry, filing, and essential financial duties. You are expected to deliver high-quality support and maintain operational excellence by demonstrating the following qualities: Essential Functions & Responsibilities Performs accounts payable transactions into accounting software system Prepare and post General Journal entries Open and distribute mail to appropriate C.O.R.E. Office team members Maintain filing systems while accurately filing various accounting reports, vendor invoices, etc. daily Perform data entry for vendor transactions into accounting software system Make bank deposits and run other errands as needed Generate reports as requested by the accounting department Maintain office equipment and orders office supplies as needed Provide protection to confidential company information such as financials Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum two (2) years' experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting experience PC literate, including Microsoft Office with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to quickly learn software systems such as ABC, QuickBooks, and various other products.
